Rigid-Flex PCB

Introduction of Rigid-Flex PCB

Definition:

Binding flexible and rigid boards structure together in same units as one part so called rigid-flex boards. Most rigid flex boards consist of multiple layers of flexible circuit substrates attached to one or more rigid boards externally and/or internally, depending upon the design of the application. Rigid-Flex PCB contain flexible part have insulating layer and conductor layer, and also including rigidity part have circuit wiring.

Advantage of Rigid Flex PCBs:

Better reliability, signal integrity, noise reduction, and impedance control
Space requirements can be minimized by applying 3D
Reduces mechanical space and device weight
Improves design freedom
HDI microvia
Cost-saving alternative to multi-layer FPC

Submit:

The material of Rigid Flex PCBs is FR4+PI. Ezpcb can provide rigid flex PCBs in single layer, double layer and multi layer. The surface treatment can be OSP, gold plating, HASL. Products are applied to a wide range of High-tech industries such as: LED, telecommunication, computer application, lighting, game machine, industrial control, power, automobile and high-end consumer electronics, ect.
